Sierra Leone, on the eastern Atlantic Ocean, is comparable in size to South Carolina in land mass and has a population of approximately 8 million. It shares a border with both Liberia and Guinea and is tropical in climate. Though there are many natural resources (diamonds, titanium ore, iron ore, and gold), Sierra Leone remains one of the poorest countries in the world with its current ranking as fifth poorest.

Our plan is simple and Biblical (Matthew 28:19-20):

• Win souls in evangelism outreach through the local church, building relationships, elementary & high school outreach, & youth sports.
• Make Disciples of Jesus Christ through one on one and small group Bible study.
• Plant Local Churches with trained national pastors
• Repeat the process

There is a spiritual awakening in the country right now.  Although they are predominantly Muslim, they are very nominal.  Thousands each year placing their faith in Jesus Christ, but there are not enough laborers to follow up/disciple them.  No better passage describes the condition of Sierra Leone than the words of Christ found in Matthew 9:36-38.
