November 2020

October has been a busy month of meetings and conferences sharing God’s work in Sierra Leone. We are thrilled to conclude the month with new ministry partners and are optimistic that several more will soon be joining our support team! As we continue with our deputation travels, we would like to encourage you with the news of your answered prayers for our safety and health. Please, don’t stop what you’ve been doing!

January 2021 is still the target for our big move. Through the generosity of many of you, our housing expenses, initial visas, mandatory vaccinations, shipping costs, and airfare have been provided. We have one, last, large item to purchase for our new home in Sierra Leone: a ministry vehicle. Please prayerfully consider what you may be able to contribute for this necessity.

Continuing prayer requests:

  • Reopening of international flights
  • Wisdom in the logistics of moving preparations
  • The ministry work of the national pastors in Sierra Leone
  • A ministry vehicle for Sierra Leone

Thank you for your continued faithfulness to our family and the ministry in Sierra Leone!

October 2020 Update

Praise the Lord for His faithfulness and provision!  When we were first forced home in mid-March for several months, we optimistically shifted our launch-date to early 2021. With the faithfulness of our partners as an encouragement, we remain steadfast in the work of deputation.  Even in the midst of a pandemic, the uncertain economic climate, an election year, and civil unrest in many of our country’s major cities, our God is beyond good and in control and has blessed us with several new ministry partners.  Lord willing, our family is entering the home-stretch of deputation!
The months of October and November are filled with meetings, many miles of travel, and new partnership opportunities. We are anticipating the fulfillment of our initial monthly ministry budget needs. We are incredibly close to reaching our support goals and are excited to begin the task God has called us–reaching Sierra Leone for Christ!  As He wills, we will see West Africa in January 2021.

With this in mind, please pray for the following:

  1. Our health and safety during travel
  2. Reopening of international flights to Sierra Leone
  3. Wisdom in the logistics of moving preparations
  4. The ministry work of the national pastors in Sierra Leone
  5. The Lord’s continued financial provision as we raise the remainder of our support

Thank you for your continued faithfulness to our family!

August 2020 Ministry Update

The need for the Good News in Sierra Leone hasn’t abated, and we remain committed to this end. With masks ever at the ready, we are still “going,” and God is honoring our efforts as we continue to add meetings and potentially gain additional ministry partners.  Yes, our Lord is still working—even in a pandemic.

“Fluid” has become the best description of life in general and deputation specifically. We laughingly say we only write our plans in pencil anymore. With the faithfulness of our partners as an encouragement, we remain steadfast in the work of deputation.  We are so close to reaching our support goals and ask that you pray for the addition of new ministry partners so that we can do what God has tasked us with doing– reaching Sierra Leone for Christ!

In addition, please pray for the following:

  1. The continued reopening of our scheduled and tentatively scheduled churches
  2. Smooth traveling for us as restrictions are made by state governments
  3. The relaxing of Sierra Leone’s stay-at-home order and the reopening of her borders

July 2020 Ministry Update

As another month has passed, thankfully many churches are physically assembling together again and schedule us to share the ministry in Sierra Leone! Our family has been so encouraged by your innovation and resilience, and we are blessed to have you as ministry partners.  Thank you so much for your faithful support and prayers during these challenging times!
Many of you have prayed for our deputation schedule. We happily report that God has answered this request and also provided us with four new ministry partners in the past month! We are finally back on the road, working to raise the remainder of our financial support for the ministry work in Sierra Leone. As Jesus did not place any “Stay-at-Home” disclaimers on the Great Commission, we seek to remain diligent to the task He has given us. Our appointment schedule for the remainder of the year is growing as God continues to provide and to fill our calendar with meetings.  Lord willing, we will move on toward our new targeted date in January.

Please continue to pray for our family’s health and safety as well as:

  • The provision of new ministry partners for reaching Sierra Leone for Christ.
  • Wisdom in the planning & logistical process as our projected January launch date approaches.

Thank you so much for your continued prayers and support!
